Ritu Gill is an Intelligence Analyst with 16 years of experience working in open-source intelligence (OSINT). After a 12-year career with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Ritu set up a consulting business providing OSINT training and research to law enforcement and related entities across North America. Ritu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and is actively involved in the OSINT community.
Law Enforcement Career
During her 12-year tenure with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Ritu specialized in open source intelligence and worked on many high-profile investigations. As part of the RCMP’s international capacity-building program, Ritu trained law enforcement in Bangladesh and India in the use of the internet as an investigative tool.

SANS Institute
The SANS Institute (https://www.sans.org/) is a cooperative research and education organization whose programs reach more than 165,000 security professionals around the world. Under SANS, Ritu is an instructor of SEC497: Practical Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT). In this course Ritu aims to deliver relevant examples, while engaging students in the different ways OSINT can be utilized.
